Independent third-party information provider — not affiliated with any printer manufacturer.

Who we are

EA Consultants LLC provides independent informational technology guides designed to help consumers understand common printer setup and connectivity procedures. We are a limited liability company registered in the United States, with a business address in Sarasota, Florida.

Our website publishes written guides covering how printers connect to wireless networks, how they are added to Windows and Mac computers, how direct USB connections work, and how to approach the connection problems that come up most often. The guides are free to read and no account is required to access them.

What "independent" means here

It means exactly what it says, and it is worth being precise about it, because the printer support space contains a number of websites that imply a relationship with manufacturers that they do not have.

  • We are not HP, Epson, Canon, Brother, Lexmark, Xerox, Samsung, Microsoft, Apple, Google, or any other manufacturer.
  • We are not an official support centre, an authorized support provider, a certified partner, a manufacturer representative or an authorized repair centre for any company.
  • We are not sponsored or endorsed by any manufacturer, and we do not act on any manufacturer's behalf.
  • We do not use manufacturer logos, branding or page designs, and we do not present ourselves as an official channel for any brand.
  • Brand names appear on this website only where they are genuinely relevant to informational content, so that readers can find guidance relating to the equipment they own. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

What we do

We publish written guides

Original explanatory content about printer setup and connectivity, written for people without a technical background.

We keep the guides current

Operating system menus change. When they do, we revise the affected pages rather than leaving instructions that no longer match what readers see.

What we do not do

Being clear about this matters as much as describing what we offer.

  • We do not sell, repair or service printers, and we do not supply parts.
  • We do not provide remote access support, and we cannot connect to your printer or computer. We will never ask you to install remote-access software.
  • We do not ask for Wi-Fi passwords, computer or account passwords, authentication codes, payment card details or any other credential. No guide on this website requires them.
  • We do not host, distribute or link to printer drivers or firmware. Those come from the manufacturer of your device.
  • We cannot open warranty claims or support cases on your behalf, or act for any manufacturer in any capacity.
  • We do not publish reviews, ratings, testimonials, awards, certifications or user statistics, because we have none to report. If you ever see such claims attributed to us, they did not come from us.

How our guides are written

Printer setup follows a small number of underlying patterns that are consistent across manufacturers: a printer joins a network, receives an address, and is then added on each computer that needs it. Our guides describe those patterns in plain language, in the order you encounter them, and note where individual models commonly differ.

We deliberately avoid presenting general guidance as though it were model-specific instruction. Menu names, button labels and setup sequences vary by printer model, firmware version, operating system and router. Where the difference matters, we say so and point you to the manufacturer's official documentation for your device — which remains the authoritative source for anything specific to your model.

How this website is funded

Our guides are published free of charge. We may promote this website through online advertising. Any advertising we run describes what this website actually provides: independent, informational printer setup and troubleshooting guides. We do not advertise as an official or authorized support channel for any brand, because we are not one.

Corrections

Software changes and our pages can fall behind. If a step described here no longer matches what you see on screen, let us know which page and which step, and we will check it. We would rather correct a guide than leave a reader following instructions that no longer apply.
