Independent third-party information provider — not affiliated with any printer manufacturer.

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how EA Consultants LLC ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the website at www.eaconsultllc.com (the "Website"). It applies only to this Website.

The short version: you can read every guide on this Website without giving us anything. The only information you actively provide is what you type into the contact form, and we use it only to answer you.

No account required

No account is required to access our public setup guides. We do not operate user accounts, logins or registration on this Website, and we do not require you to identify yourself in order to read our content.

Information we collect

Information you give us through the contact form

If you choose to contact us, we collect:

  • the name you enter;
  • the email address you enter;
  • the subject, if you provide one;
  • the content of your message.

We ask for nothing else. Please do not send us passwords, Wi-Fi network keys, authentication codes, payment card numbers, government identification numbers or other sensitive information — we do not need them and do not want them. The form rejects submissions that appear to contain such details.

Information collected automatically

Like virtually all websites, this Website is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard server logs for security and reliability purposes. Those logs typically include the IP address of the requesting device, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page where one is sent by the browser, and the browser's user-agent string. We do not use these logs to build profiles of individuals.

Our contact form applies rate limiting to reduce automated abuse. To do this it stores a one-way cryptographic hash of the submitting IP address together with submission timestamps. The IP address itself is not stored in that record, and these files are deleted automatically once they expire.

Analytics and advertising

This Website does not currently load analytics scripts, advertising pixels, social media widgets, embedded third-party content or tracking beacons. If that changes, this Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy will be updated to describe what is used before it is introduced.

We may promote this Website through online advertising platforms. Those platforms may collect information about interactions with our advertisements on their own services in accordance with their own privacy policies, over which we have no control.

Cookies

This Website sets one strictly necessary cookie, and only on the Contact page: a session cookie named EACSESSID used to protect the contact form against cross-site request forgery. It contains a random identifier, holds no personal information, and is deleted when you close your browser. Browsing the guides sets no cookies at all. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

How we use information

  • To read and reply to messages you send us through the contact form.
  • To correct, update and improve the content of our guides — for example when a reader tells us a step is out of date.
  • To operate the Website securely, including preventing automated abuse of the contact form.
  • To comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not add contact-form senders to a marketing list, and we do not send newsletters or promotional email.

Who has access to information

Access is limited to the people who operate EA Consultants LLC and to service providers that make the Website work, namely:

  • our web hosting provider, which stores the Website and its server logs;
  • our email provider, which delivers and stores contact form messages so we can read and reply to them.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, safety or property.

How long we keep information

  • Contact form messages are kept in our email for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and to keep a reasonable record of correspondence, and are deleted when no longer needed.
  • Rate-limiting records (hashed, non-identifying) expire and are deleted automatically, typically within hours.
  • Server and error logs are retained for a limited period according to our hosting provider's standard practice.

How we protect information

The Website is served over HTTPS. The contact form applies cross-site request forgery protection, server-side validation, output escaping, rate limiting and spam filtering. We do not operate a public database of visitor information, and this Website accepts no file uploads.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information through the contact form.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information about you — for example the right to request access to it, to request correction or deletion, or to object to certain processing. Residents of certain U.S. states and of other jurisdictions with applicable privacy legislation may have specific statutory rights.

To make a request, email us at support@eaconsultllc.com. Because we hold very little information — generally only the messages you have sent us — most requests can be handled quickly. We may need to ask you to confirm details of your correspondence so that we act on the right records, and we will not discriminate against you for making a request.

Children's privacy

This Website is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Visitors outside the United States

EA Consultants LLC is based in the United States and this Website is operated from the United States. If you contact us from another country, the information in your message will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your own country.

Our guides sometimes refer to manufacturers' official documentation. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any website we mention or link to. Their policies apply when you visit them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
